A fellow photographer asks you to photograph her family and new baby. INSERT HAPPY DANCE HERE 🙂 Such a huge compliment when another artist trusts you to capture their family.  We started back in August and tried out this amazing location next to the Columbia River near Vantage, WA.  Beautiful cliffside at sunset, couldn’t be more perfect.  But…I definitely won’t take another family with small kiddos there again.  It was cliffsides. near. a. river….not a ton of area safe for kids to explore, so we were very careful to always hold hands and stay away from the edge…still super nerve racking from a worry-some photog mama (me).

I’m in such awe of this amazing couple raising 3 small kiddos and adding another.  Roszika is not only a photographer, but lactation specialist/labor and delivery nurse.  It was so fun to chat with her about her new baby and delivery. I’ve never photographed a fresh48 from a home birth and was completely blown away.  The tub, the post-partem herbal bath, and the whole family surrounding mom and new baby, it just felt like the most natural and comforting way to welcome your new baby into a loving family.
