Spring Family Session | Krebs | Ellensburg Lifestyle Photographer

As a lifestyle photographer, I focus on connection and emotion.  I capture love….and I love it.  I used to struggle with the large family shoots because I thought they needed to be more traditional (smile at the camera the whole time) so I dreaded them, as it’s not my specialty.  Then I had a shift in mindset and realized that the reason these families want a lifestyle session, is to capture the love and connection between all these people that might not get together as often as they want.  So I always start with the big groups (more traditional) to get them out of the way, then split up into smaller groups and families where I can really play and get my people to squeeze, snuggle, play and love on each other. Once I figured out how to shoot these my way, I’ve really enjoyed them and love getting to meet so many new faces. This family was so sweet and loving, I just wished I had more time to sit down and get to know them all better. Manastash Vintage Wedding | Shane & Sarah | Ellensburg Wedding Photography

This beautiful wedding in the Manastash Canyon was an absolute dream to photograph.  This amazing location was tucked into the mountains next to the river showcasing historic antiques, cabins, and mountain views.  Sarah looked amazing in her vintage lace dress and Shane in a classic gray suit.  From her vintage jewelry, mason jar lanterns and lights hung throughout the trees, tree stump personal plants for each guest, and model T the couple drove away following their ceremony, all such personal and unique details that fit this wedding and couple perfectly.  The cozy and intimate atmosphere was sad to leave at the end of the night, as I had made such great friends with all their guests, such a fun group!  Thanks for stopping by, enjoy!

Baby Makes 4 | Megan & Kyle | Ellensburg Maternity Photographer

Megan’s cute little baby bump just melts my heart! And her sweet little darling is going to be the best big sister 🙂  This beautiful time in between being a family of three to a family of four is such a short and precious time.  “There’s a lot of life to live in the in between.”  It seems like we all plan our lives out in our “5 year plan” and forget all the beautiful moments in between the big ones.  9 months doesn’t seem like a long time, but when you’re anxiously awaiting a new baby, it can feel like eternity.  The snuggles and giggles watching mama’s belly move, constant one-on-one time with your one kiddo, and the simplicity of one child are all memories you look back on and wonder why you were in such a hurry….to hurry up and wait?  Here’s to the maternity moments in between, may we treasure them and hold them as dear as the big moments we hurry up and wait for 🙂   Thanks for stopping by!  To see a slideshow preview of the entire session, scroll to the end of the blogpost….

Documenting your pregnancy is a great way to share these moments with your son or daughter in the future. The ideal time to photograph your baby bump is between 28-34 weeks pregnant. I like to allow several weeks before your due date so your belly is round, but you are not uncomfortable yet. I have worked with many pregnant mothers and my job will be to keep you as comfortable as possible. I specialize in outdoor maternity portraits and encourage my couples to incorporate their lifestyle and interests. I like exploring new locations and want these photos to show your couples/family style and tell your story. Let’s shoot at your family farm, bring your fur-babies, baby’s first shoes, etc. All these little details are so personal and unique to your story and I want to capture it all.
