Kylie’s hand resting on her sweet little baby bump, big sister snuggling into her mama, and her look of pure joy when sees runs toward her family….all sweet memories that I was so honored to capture for this beautiful growing family.  I always make sure to focus my maternity sessions on not only the growing baby bump but the expressions and excitement of the kiddos that will become big brothers and sisters.  As a mother of three, I’ve always felt that my kiddos grew 10 feet overnight following the birth of another child.  I remember looking at my oldest child hold his little brother for the first time and my mind would flashback to my favorite photo taken at the maternity session (only weeks prior) and I swear it was a completely different child.  These little people are just too precious and change too fast.  So you’ll notice in the slideshow below how many photos I took of just big sister, because she’s a big deal 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!  To see a slideshow preview of the entire session, scroll to the end of the blogpost….

I like to allow several weeks before your due date so your belly is round, but you are not uncomfortable yet. I have worked with many pregnant mothers and my job will be to keep you as comfortable as possible. I specialize in outdoor maternity portraits and encourage my couples to incorporate their lifestyle and interests. I like exploring new locations and want these photos to show your couples/family style and tell your story. Let’s shoot at your family farm, bring your fur-babies, baby’s first shoes, etc. All these little details are so personal and unique to your story and I want to capture it all.

Mother’s Day is this Sunday!!  I’m pretty sure it’s my favorite time of year in my business because I really love to photograph and celebrate motherhood. Seeing these amazing women carrying babies and caring for babies is so inspiring.  Especially this young mother that has busted her tail to stay in amazing shape, grow a baby, and chase a toddler all at the same time.  I first met these two when I captured their first pregnancy and newborn session for big brother Connor. I can’t wait to meet their baby in the next few weeks. Wise words from Amber Walder I want to leave you with. “Motherhood is a crazy, chaotic, beautiful, maddening whirlwind of emotions. Find the quiet moments, the peaceful moments. When you’re in them, soak every ounce of love and connection out of them. Burn those details into your memory. Cling to them as the day goes on.
