Anderson Family | Ellensburg Lifestyle Photographer

I just loved capturing the Anderson Family on this gorgeous fall morning.  Cozy sweaters, snuggling kiddos, and big smiles….all the perfect ingredients to a great fall family session. I want my sessions to capture my families the way they are now, not to contort families in stiff poses or make them smile the whole time…it’s not me and it’s not natural.  But that does not mean that I don’t pose my families.  My sessions are very directed and I set my families up to enjoy their people the most.  There’s lots of hugging, snuggling, laughing, and movement.  I will find the most flattering way to pose the ladies and the most natural and masculine way to portray the men in the family.  I will set up a few more posed photographs and ask them to look at my camera, for Christmas cards and grandmothers, then move on to more candid and lifestyle photographs.  We walk, we run, we play, we connect.  I love that families let me into their lives and share their joy with me!  Thanks for stopping by, Enjoy!

Taylor Twins on the Way | Ellensburg Maternity Photographer

This lovely pregnant mama is my hero.  Not only is she a badass veterinarian, but she’s carrying twins and chasing toddlers…. these Taylor parents are killing it….  Watching these two parents work together as team is so inspiring and I just love they way they still smile at each other with so much love for each other. Baby Beau | Rachel & Colton | Ellensburg Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

So….I seriously love the name Beau.  It was on my shortlist for 2 of my three boys….but sadly the numerous horses and dogs already coveting the name in our families was the deal breaker for my husband.  But, I’m too happy to hug and snuggle this little Beau that just melted in his mama’s arms in this session.  I love watching these families grow and feel so honored to capture them, click see their recent maternity, and Kendall’s maternity and newborn session.  They also took the leap with me to capture everyone at home in this lifesyle session and it was magical.  Being able to cater to a toddler’s needs in their own environment, mom’s being able to feed baby at home, and dads that can be in photos and head out when they’re done….just make these sessions so much more relaxed and personal.  And that nursery!!
