Catching up on blogposts today and sipping on a yummy kombucha iced tea with a squirt of raspberry lemonade….summer is here guys 🙂  Now about this adorable little babe I got to photograph, Baby Curtis is just the sweetest little man.  I LOVE THIS NAME!! It was my grandfather’s name and my heart just hopped into my throat when she told me his name…. so timeless and classic. I loved watching his big sister help her mama change his clothes and then bury her little face in his neck. Or his sweet mama snuggle and smile at him in her favorite chair. SWOON

Have I mentioned how much I love photographing new babies and their families at their own homes?  Baby is happy and relaxed.  Families are happy and relaxed.  When I used to photograph babies in my smaller home studio, I would stress about the babies sleeping and keeping the room 90 degrees and cleaning my house so it didn’t look like I had 3 messy toddlers living there….but now I don’t worry about those things.  If baby doesn’t feel like sleeping, they can stay in their mama’s arms where they want to be.  My mama’s can relax knowing that they can tend to their toddler’s needs while I’m photographing baby, or finish getting ready, or just relax in their own home. And…I tell my mama’s strictly not to stress about cleaning or making their homes look perfect.  If there’s something I need to move to simplify the background, it’s a quick fix and shouldn’t take precious time away from your baby.  I always leave these sessions feeling like I got to know these families so well and truly touched that they let me into their lives and capture their beauty.  Life is beautiful and I get to capture it.  Thanks for stopping by!
