When Jackie contacted me to photograph her beautiful family I was overjoyed to catch up and meet her family. I was even more excited to find out that her parents and sister were also coming to be photographed.  Although these sessions require a lot of work coordinating, I feel they are so important to capture everyone together when those rare moments happen.  As families grow and spread out throughout the country, getting a chance to be together for holidays and family events is truly a gift and I am honored to capture it.   Most people envision the signature shots of everyone standing in a lined perfectly posed with flat artificial light, and yes, I give them a few back that have everyone smiling and looking at the camera (gotta have a few for grandma’s album). But the photos of families snuggling, playing, and laughing are truly what capturing their love is all about. I just love that I get to capture and preserve such fleeting moments, because….life is just too short. Be present.  Here are a few favorite photos from this adorable session, enjoy!
