“It’s impossible to forget a dog that gave you so much to remember.” Many of us find a companion in the beginning of our adulthood that follows us, consoles us, and comforts us through our 20’s and in a sense will always be our first child and soulmate. When Madeline contacted me to schedule a session to capture her family dog and told me the sad news her dog, Lucy, had recently grown very ill, I made sure to schedule as soon as possible.  It also happened to be one of the coldest fall days we had at the time, but I’m so glad we toughed through it. Madeline had these beautiful floral crowns made and I just love how they turned out. We captured these beautiful authentic moments in their backyard, wrapping those kiddos tight in blankets, baring the cold and snuggling together.   I always encourage families to include their furry family members in their sessions, because they are your beloved companions and should be captured and cherished.  Here are a few favorite photos from this adorable session, enjoy!
