Cozy at Home | Baby Miles | Ellensburg Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

This cozy in-home lifestyle session with Baby Miles and family perfectly portrays why I love my job.  Following my wedding couples through their life changing moments and capturing these wonderful families grow, is absolutely heartwarming. I feel blessed to have captured their beautiful engagements and wedding, and big brother’s newborn session. As much as I loved my studio newborn sessions, I feel like these lifestyle sessions that take place in my clients home truly and authentically capture this preciously sweet and short time.  Those first few weeks at home with a new baby are an adjustment for everyone.  A new baby adjusts to his new life outside his mama’s womb, a toddler adjusts to a new sibling, and parents adjust to juggling 2 tiny humans and their mountain of needs.  It definitely feels like the longest, shortest time.  Big Brother Grayson showed me his teepee, his toys, and where his baby brother will sleep in his very own room.  Big Brother also read to Baby Miles and giggled, played, and snuggled too.  This is really where I feel these lifestyle sessions shine.  Big Brother got to be in his own element and be himself.  Baby Miles has some amazing and caring parents and big brother to cuddle and snuggle him as he adapts to his life outside the womb, and I can’t wait to capture him as he grows bigger. Hope you enjoy these photos and full slideshow of Baby Miles.  Also…see below as I share one of my favorite nursing gadgets I used and saved my sanity on my third baby.

So as promised I want to share a key little gadget that saved my sanity with my third baby.  This nursing light was the perfect amount of light to turn on while nursing in the wee hours of the night.  It clipped onto my nursing tank, made just enough light to see what I needed without waking up baby too much, and…..it vibrates after 10 minutes so I knew how long he had nursed and would wake me up after I’d dosed off in my recliner nursing a baby.  This last feature was a life-saver!  I’m not saying that I didn’t hit the button the same amount of times I hit the snooze button, but it was so nice to keep all the lights in the house off.  I didn’t get anything by posting this, and it’s not an affiliate link, just thought I’d help another nursing mother in need.
